About
Intro
Welcome, and thanks for taking the time to read my new blog.
who am I?
My name is Steven, Born (near to) and living in Manchester, UK . I am a Technology Consultant for a global consulting company. I specialise in Collaboration Tools, with a view to orientating best practices around maximising knowledge management and communication benefits.
Recently I have been involved in a large Vista deployment project, some of my soon to be posts will include useful snippits of information that have helped me overcome some small hurdles on this project, and hopefully save others some development time.
I am eager to improve my Japanese and have a keen interest in Japanese culture. I am somewhat addicted to my xbox 360, which I intend to overcome by embracing other interests more fully. I play Airsoft and go rock climbing frequently, I also used to be a Kayak coach.
What do I do?
I am currently employed as a Technology Consultant specialising in Collaboration & Workplace Technologies for a leading global Management Consulting company, I have previously been employed as (in reverse chronological order):
Solutions Engineer / Requirements Manager @ Healthcare software provider
Project Manager / Change Manager @ Healthcare software provider
Knowledge Management Consultant @ Blue Chip Utilities based BPO company
Software Engineer @ Global Blue Chip Consultant Engineering company
I have my PRINCE2 Practitioners certification and have worked in IT within a varied set of industry markets.
What brings me here?
As previously mentioned I want to finally start to give something back to the wider community by sharing technical snippits I have picked up along the way, and mix it in with some general experiences that are worth sharing.
I have blogged before, but this is a fresh start with a different focus. I don’t expect my posts to be overly frequent, but I hope they will offer something to someone somewhere.
Lets see what happens ![]()
